| Zipx is a practical and reliable file compression and encryption utility that allows you to easily create Zip and Cab archives. Zipx compatible with both WinZip and PKZip and many other popular software archives. However, some properties ZipXs quite advanced and is able to produce zip files which can not be extracted in other archive utilities. For example, the use of digital certificates for encryption means that apart Zipx only PKWARE SecureZIP can extract files from the archive. Zipx supports WinZip new compression method PPMd. This technique is relatively new and does not support other programs of archival material (other than WinZip, of course). This gives a very good grip, although to a much lesser extent than the standard Deflate algorithm. |
